Our Little Boy

Cade went into surgery on Thursday. We had to be up in Marshfield at 6:00 in the morning. They did a great job accommodating us and looking after Cade. They took a polaroid of us before he went into surgery. Shortly after they took the picture they took him into surgery, and he held on to the picture until the anesthesia kicked in. Here is the picture.

When we first got there he was a little scared and didn't like all the tests the doctors wanted to do.

Here he is in the recovery room, after surgery. We were excited because they let us go home and we thought we would be done with hospitals for a while. However, Cade started to run a very high fever after we got him home. They called in an antibiotic late that night for us and told us to treat the fever. The next day he seemed to be doing better, but then in the afternoon it spiked again up to over 105 degrees. We took him into the emergency room and he was still running a very high fever. After about 6 hours in the emergency room and many test later they thought it was a virus and that we would have to aggressively treat the fever. We took him home and Grandpa Dave and Jeremy gave him a blessing and he is doing much better. We are thankful for our kids and it amazes us how each one is different, but how we love each of them the same. We are doing much better now that Cade is getting healthy again and are very grateful to all of you who called.
Our poor little guy in the emergency room with a fever of 105 degrees.

Comments:
Poor little Cade. Man that little guy is so strong. That just makes me so sad to see him hooked up to that junk. How scary that is such a high fever.
Dang Jeremy you are really losing the weight!!

Jeremy you better be careful Cade is going to be able to take you down soon you keep losing the weight. I hope Cade and your sister are both feeling better now.
