5 YEARS OLD!
We are sorry it has taken so long to post. Time just flies by. We have been worried about Fred, Bea's dad, as he is still in the hospital because he fell and broke his leg. We hope and pray that he will bounce back like he always does. We also celebrated Saylea's 5th birthday. We can't believe that she is so old! We wanted to share some pictures for those that couldn't be here.

Nurse Bea!
Nothing exciting going on here. No pictures for now--we will have plenty in a few days as we will be celebrating Saylea's birthday and her friend Eliza will be spending the night on Friday.
Saylea and Cade broke out with a rash from the amoxicillin they had been taking. It is not a serious rash, but nonetheless annoying for the kids. Ivan broke out a month ago when he started taking amoxicillin, but Saylea and Cade didn't have any reactions until they had finished all of their medicine. I have been running a lot on the treadmill and must have cracked open my foot. I didn't notice it really, but the other night it started to swell and became really sore. It was hard to put any pressure on it. I went to the doctor and they gave me a nice strong antibiotic because it was infected. Pretty gross!
Not a problem though, because Nurse Bea has been taking good care of us. Not only has she managed to take care of us, she did 8 loads of laundry today, fixed the meals, dressed the kids and cleaned the house. She even went grocery shopping, and is now exercising on the treadmill! I nominate her for woman of the year!

Sassy Saylea

Not many new pictures to post, but we thought we would write a little about what's new at our house. Saylea got her hair cut shorter (pictures will be coming), and also had her first earache, she is taking some antibiotics. Ivan is still infatuated with Spiderman, Batman, Superman and even He-man. Cade is crawling around more than ever and sure loves to eat. Bea is focused on getting back into shape after the holidays and I am trying to eat right and exercise more as well. Next Thursday is Saylea's birthday and she is sure excited, she sure has me wrapped around her finger. The other day she was being her usual sassy self, so I had to punish her by sending her up to her room for a timeout. She was obviously very upset and accused me of yelling at her. After a while she was allowed to come out, and she continued to walk past me while I was sitting in the TV room, glaring and giving me dirty looks. I finally asked her why she was still so upset and she looked at me pointing to her chest and said "Daddy, you're breaking my heart" How do you punish a little girl like that??

Just an Update
Here are some pictures to start off the new year.
Saylea went swimming at 4K. She is sure getting old!

Christy (I am not sure about the spelling) is Zach's girlfriend. They sure make a nice couple! :) It was nice getting to know her a little, and the kids sure enjoyed playing with her. She read some books to the kids, if we didn't stop the kids from asking, she would still be reading.

Happy New Year
We had Bea's family over for New Years. We had an enjoyable time with Zach and the rest of the family. It has been a long time since we have all been together. Fred and Jane now have 9 grandkids! Here is a picture of all of them together.
